Build a dashboard

A dashboard puts the numbers you care about on one page. Bigin sets up a few for you when you start. You can add your own.

Look at your dashboards

Open Dashboards. Each card shows the dashboard's name, who made it, how many components it has, and a preview of its first chart or number. Use All, Shared with me and Created by me to filter the list, and Open dashboard to view one.

On a dashboard, Refresh reloads the figures. Each component also has its own refresh button.

Create a dashboard

You need permission to manage dashboards. Admins always have it.

1. On Dashboards, choose New dashboard.
2. Enter a Name.
3. Under Share with, pick Only me, All users or Selected users. For selected users, choose them in the Selected users list.
4. Choose Create. The new dashboard opens.

The heading of the form shows how many custom dashboards your plan allows. On the free plan, creating one is refused with "Custom dashboards are available on paid plans".

Add a component

On a dashboard you created, choose Add component.

1. Pick the module the numbers come from, such as Contacts or your deals, and choose Change module. For deals, also pick the pipeline.
2. Enter a Title.
3. Choose the Type: Chart, KPI or Target meter.
4. Choose the style. Charts can be column, bar, line, area, pie, donut, funnel, table or heatmap. KPIs can be standard, growth, basic, scorecard or rankings.
5. Set the Measure: Count of records, Sum of, Average of, Minimum of or Maximum of. For sum, average, minimum and maximum, choose the Field, for example Amount.
6. Use Group by to split the numbers, for example by stage, owner or month, and Period to limit them to This month, This quarter, This year or All time.
7. Choose Add.

For deals you can also limit the component to deals that are open, won or lost under Only records that are.

For a Target meter, enter the Target. Charts can also show a Benchmark line.

To remove a component, use the close icon on its card. Delete removes the whole dashboard. Standard dashboards that came with Bigin cannot be changed or deleted this way.
