Send a mass email
Email a group of contacts at once and see who opened, clicked or replied.
Use Mass email to send one message to many contacts. Bigin skips contacts who have opted out or have no email address, and every message carries an unsubscribe link.
Send one
- Open Contacts.
- Tick the boxes next to the people you want. A bar shows how many are selected.
- Choose Mass email in that bar.
- Under From, choose the sender address.
- Under Template, pick a saved template, or leave Write a message below and fill in Subject and Message. A line under the box lists the merge fields you can use to personalise it.
- Choose Send to, which shows the number of contacts.
You can also start from Mass email in the sidebar and choose Choose recipients. That takes you to Contacts to pick people.
To email the contacts on deals, tick deals on a pipeline list and choose Email contacts. On the board, tick the cards and use More and then Send email.
Watch the results
After sending, the Mass email page lists each message with these columns: Subject, Sent, Skipped, Opened, Clicked, Replied, Bounced and When. Opens and clicks fill in as people engage, and show as a percentage of sent.
At the top you see Sent today against your daily limit. The limit depends on your plan.
Email one person
For a single message, open the contact and choose Send Mail. The record keeps every email under its Emails tab, where you can filter by source such as Mass email.
Stop emailing someone
A contact who follows the unsubscribe link is marked Email Opt Out. Mass email skips them from then on. You can also tick Email Opt Out on the contact's record.
