Plan your day
Use Workqueue to see what to do next, and create tasks, meetings and calls.
CRM keeps your tasks, meetings and calls together so nothing slips. Workqueue shows what needs doing now.
Start from Workqueue
Open Workqueue. The list on the left has three queues, each with a count:
- Activities shows your open tasks, calls and meetings.
- Leads to contact shows your leads nobody has reached yet.
- Deals to close shows your open deals closing in the period.
Use the period menu to choose Today & Overdue, Today, This Week or All Open. Overdue items show in red. Choose the tick next to a task to complete it. Click any title to open the record.
The My jobs menu in the toolbar is a shortcut to Leads to contact and Deals to close.
Create a task
- Open Tasks and choose Create Task. You can also use Create in the top bar, or Task on Home.
- Enter the Subject and a Due Date.
- Set Status and Priority, and choose a Reminder if you want one.
- Use Related To to link the task to a lead, contact, account or deal.
- Choose Save.
A new task starts as Not Started with High priority.
Create a meeting
- Open Meetings and choose Create Meeting.
- Enter the Title, and the From and To times.
- Add the Location, Participants and Related To if they matter.
- Choose Save.
Create a call
- Open Calls and choose Create Call.
- Choose Call Type: scheduled for a call coming up (the default here) or logged for one that already happened.
- Set the Direction, who the call is Call From/To, the Call Start Time and the Subject.
- Use Call Agenda for what you want to cover.
- Choose Save. Choose Save and Create Follow-up Task to add the next task straight away.
After a call, record the Call Outcome and Call Result on the call.
See it on the calendar
Open Calendar to see tasks, meetings and calls together. Switch between Month, Week and Day, turn Tasks, Events and Calls on or off, or filter by owner. Drag an item to another day or time to reschedule it. Create adds a new meeting.
Next: Work your deals.
