Roles and permissions

What owners, admins, members and viewers can do.

A role decides what a person can do. Every person has one role in an organisation.

| Role | What it is for | | --- | --- | | Owner | Full control, including billing and security. Every organisation has at least one. | | Admin | Manages people, apps and settings. | | Member | Uses the apps the organisation has switched on. | | Viewer | Looks at records without changing them. |

You can read the exact permissions of each role, and make your own, under Roles and permissions in the admin console.

Change someone's role

Open Users, find the person and pick a new role in the dropdown next to their name. It takes effect the next time they load a page.

"Not added" and "No access"

On the Apps launcher:

  • Not added means your organisation has not switched that app on. An admin can turn it on in Apps and subscriptions.
  • No access means the app is on, but your role does not include it. Ask an admin to change your role or add the permission.

Deactivate someone

On Users, choose Deactivate on a person's row. They can no longer sign in.
